Committee Overview:
The CREW Denver Community Outreach Committee plans and carries out meaningful Colorado community service projects which increase member involvement and strengthen CREW Denver's connection to the community in which we live and work. Committee project coordinators and event participants are needed.
Committee Member Duties:
The Community Outreach Committee participates in four to six yearly projects with local nonprofits. Committee members participate in quarterly events, create newsletters, email blasts, project completion articles and update information to the CREW website. The committee is made up of two Co-Chairs for 2012 who run monthly committee meetings and 10+ CREW Denver members. The two Co-Chairs create monthly board reports, committee meeting agendas/minutes, manage budgets, create sponsorship ideas and work with the committee to successfully plan and complete quarterly non-profit projects.
Estimated Time Commitment:
The Community Outreach Committee meets once a month generally via conference call . 1/2- 1 hour per month time commitment at committee meetings (in-person or via conference call). A quarterly project coordinator and volunteers would be responsible for various projects leading up to a quarterly non-profit event. At the beginning of the year and end of the year a face-to-face meeting will be held to begin and end the current year.
Timing of Community Outreach Events:
The Community Outreach Committee Upcoming 2012 Projects include: Quarter 1 - Project Angel Heart, Quarter 2 - Work Options for Women - WomenCook! event , Quarter 3 - Habitat for Humanity, Quarter 4 - Women's Bean Project.
Benefits of Serving on Committee:
The Community Outreach Committee is a fun group of committed volunteers with the goal of making a difference in the community, adding value to our sponsors through philanthropic outreach and creating networking opportunities with CREW members and leaders in the Denver market.
Meeting Time/Location:
Meetings will be held monthly via conference call, on the third Thursday of every month at 2:00 pm.
Thank you to our 2012 Community Outreach Sponsors:
