Career Outreach Committee:
Co-Chairs:
Committee Overview:
The Career Outreach Committee is a multi-faceted committee whose goal is to introduce young women to the many career opportunities available to them in the commercial real estate industry. In conjunction with CREW Network, the committee coordinates the following programs:
CREW Careers program Goal: For students to learn the basic concepts involved in developing a piece of land from the ground up, and exposing the girls to as many different Commercial Real Estate careers possibilities in the process.
UCREW University Outreach program Goal: To reach out to College Students and have speakers representative of different categories in the commercial real estate industry. These speakers tell their personal story and how they got to where they are now, and what the everyday life in that field entails.
E-Mentoring program through CREW Network. Goal: To determine the needs of CREW Denver members and create a program that benefits both mentors and mentees alike.
The Career Outreach Committee also works to promote the CREW Network Foundation Scholarship Program.
Committee Member Duties:
Career Outreach Committee member duties include coordinating the UCREW and CREW Careers events by reaching out to the local Universities and High Schools to coordinate educational events. Volunteers spend time connecting with real estate professionals in our community to coordinate speakers for UCREW events, as well as project tour options or speakers for the CREW Careers event.
Additionally, members get to sit and hear what today’s youth is saying and thinking about industries in commercial real estate. Members get to practice the sharing of information and they get to experience the positive molding of young minds. Members should not only motivate these students, but become driven themselves to teach and excite and share the vision of becoming a successful career oriented woman in commercial real estate.
