Susan Pratt, Pratt Architecture & Management

Pratt.JPGAfter working with Perkins+Will in San Francisco on a research facility in Singapore, animation studio facilities in California, and a $8B university in Saudi Arabia, Susan returned to Colorado to start her own design firm.  With a specialty in modern, sustainable design, she has practiced her design and project management skills on a range of building types from a concrete solar house to a 8,600 sf mountain library to $30M community recreation centers. A certified Project Management Professional, she excels in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. She is currently working on an eco-lodge in Rwanda, where the profits will help support the education of children in a nearby orphanage.

With Martin/Martin since 2008, Ms. Jones has more than 25 years of structural engineering experience in new building construction, and existing building evaluations and seismic retrofits. She specializes in strengthening of concrete structures and is a co-manager of the Investigative Services Team.

Deidra Gonzales Receives

Deidra Gonzales, Director of Business Development with Redland has been named as one of the recipients of the 2011 Developing Leaders Award, presented by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. NAIOP President and CEO Thomas J. Bisacqino spoke of the importance of the Award, stating, “The Developing Leaders program recognizes the vital roles that the young visionaries of our industry play in commercial real estate today and encourages diversity and professional growth among these outstanding professionals who will lead commercial real estate into the future”. Deidra will receive her award at the NAIOP Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, October 18th-20th, 2011.

Deidra was chosen based on leadership, professional competency, career goals, NAIOP participation, Community Involvement and Judge’s discretion of merit. Deidra is involved with NAIOP both on the Corporate and Chapter levels. She was selected to participate in NAIOP Corporate’s Leadership Discovery Program in 2008 and served on the Corporate Diversity Task Force in 2010. Gonzales participated as a panelist at NAIOP’s annual Chapter Leadership and Legislative Retreat in Washington, D.C., in 2008. Her chapter involvement includes current membership on NAIOP Colorado’s Membership and Real Estate Challenge Committees in addition to chairing the Developing Leaders Program in its inaugural year in 2007.  

Deidra gives back to her community by volunteering with the Colorado Special Olympics and Colorado MS Society and has mentored high school women interested in commercial real estate through participation in CREW Careers.

Deidra joined CREW Denver in 2006 and has served as co-chair of the Membership and Networking Committee and will serve as the 2012 co-chair of the Programs Committee.

Terri Rithner joins Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s Legal Risk Management Team

On August 1, 2011, Terri Rithner joined Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s Legal Risk Management Team. Terri brings with her ten years of experience in private practice advising corporate, real estate, environmental, and energy clients. As part of her role as Staff Attorney, she will be actively involved in CHFA’s business financing programs, including the development and introduction of new programs.
