International Trends in Architecture

Please join CREW as we go “on-site” at Fentress Architects (located at 421 Broadway) to hear Curt W. Fentress speak about some of his most exciting international projects.  Directions and parking instructions will be sent at a later date.

Curtis W. Fentress has been a visionary force behind numerous civic projects, including the Denver International Airport, the Colorado Convention Center and Invesco Field.  Mr. Fentress in an internationally recognized architect, responsible for the design of $15 billion of projects worldwide.  Mr. Fentress has won 28 national and international design competitions and has received 240 awards for design excellence.

Mr. Fentress received his Bachelor of Architecture from North Carolina State University, School of Design.  After graduating with honors, Mr. Fentress began his career at I.M. Pei and Partners in New York.  He founded Fentress Architects in 1980 when he felt he had learned what he could from the prestigious East Coast firms and wanted to try something different “out West” where precedent had a less tenacious grip on the imagination.  Twenty-eight years later, Fentress Architects has grown to over 100 employees and is responsible for projects around the world, including the United States, Middle East, Europe, Central America and Asia.

Cost:            Members $40.00 until noon Friday prior to the lunch
                Guests attend 2 lunches for $50.00 each.  After the second meeting the price will be $60.00. 

                Late registration and walk-ins $60.00

Please join CREW for our monthly luncheon as one of Denver's leading developers, Randy Nichols, discusses past and present projects, including the much anticipated "Spire" residential development adjacent to the Convention Center.

The Nichols Partnership, Inc. was established in Boulder, Colorado in 1993 to pursue real estate development opportunities in the Colorado market. The firm's real estate activities include the development of office, multi-family, retail, and mixed use along the Front Range.

Mr. Nichols is the President and Founder of The Nichols Partnership and has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, brokerage and management since starting his career with LaSalle Partners in 1981.

Since1993, The Nichols Partnership has developed 1.5 million square feet of commercial space and over 1000 units of housing, including such prominent projects as "Clayton Lane", 1899 Wynkoop", the "Manor Homes at Cherry Creek" and "Spire".
